Job Description

Here is the translation of the job description for the Global Senior Category Procurement Manager role into English:

 

Within the Global Procurement organization, you will lead strategic F&B (Food & Beverage) and/or OS&E (Operation Supplies & Equipment : uniforms, linen, disposable products, small equipment...) categories at global level.
You will be responsible for supplier negotiations, category strategy and distributors management, working closely with internal and external stakeholders across multiple countries.

This is an international role, focused on value creation through strategic sourcing, partnerships and category performance, rather than transactional purchasing.

 

Category & Procurement Strategy

  • Define, develop and deliver the global category strategy for assigned F&B and/or OS&E categories.
  • Lead end-to-end category management, including market analysis, sourcing strategy, RFI/RFQ processes and contract negotiations.
  • Identify market drivers, trends and innovation opportunities to continuously improve category performance.
  • Develop new categories and enhance the global procurement offering.

 

Supplier & Contract Management

  • Lead global negotiations with strategic suppliers and distributors.
  • Secure sustainable, long-term partnerships ensuring best market conditions.
  • Manage contract lifecycle in collaboration with Legal teams.
  • Promote sustainable sourcing initiatives (e.g. plastic reduction, responsible sourcing).

 

Stakeholder Management & Governance

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders:
    • Country Procurement teams
    • Global & local Marketing
    • Digital & Technology Services (D&TS)
    • Brand Partnership teams
    • ESG / Sustainability teams
  • Actively engage stakeholders to ensure alignment, adoption and performance of procurement solutions.
  • Promote and represent the Group Procurement function internally and externally.

 

Performance & Governance

  • Ensure KPI implementation and monitoring to track category performance.
  • Be accountable for budget achievement within your scope.
  • Design measurement tools to support solution deployment and compliance.
  • Actively support and “sell” procurement solutions to internal and external customers.

 

Team Leadership

  • Manage and develop a small team.
  • Provide guidance on strategy, negotiations and category performance.
  • Foster collaboration, ownership and capability development.

  • Categories: F&B and OS&E
  • Geographical scope: Global (Europe, Asia-Pacific, North America, Middle East)
  • Travel: Limited

Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in Procurement / Strategic Sourcing in an international environment.
  • Proven experience in category management and negotiations.
  • Previous team management experience.
  • Solid background in contract management.
  • Exposure to hospitality, distribution, B2B, B2C or e-commerce networks.
  • Experience in F&B and/or OS&E categories.

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate in international and matrix organizations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Structured, strategic and business-oriented mindset.
  • High personal integrity and strong work ethic.
  • Languages:
    • Fluent English (mandatory)
    • French is a plus
