Job Description

Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra, a luxurious 5-star hotel in the heart of Cambodia's capital, is seeking a visionary and experienced General Manager to lead our esteemed property. This exceptional opportunity calls for a dynamic hospitality professional who can drive excellence, inspire teams, and elevate the guest experience in one of Southeast Asia's most vibrant cities.

  • Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to maximize revenue, profitability, and market share
  • Lead and motivate a diverse, multi-cultural team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including guests, corporate clients, and local partners
  • Ensure compliance with Sofitel brand standards and local regulations
  • Drive innovation in service delivery and guest experiences, keeping the property at the forefront of luxury hospitality
  • Represent the hotel in the local community and industry events, enhancing its reputation and market position

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in luxury hotel management, with at least 5-7 years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven track record in driving revenue growth, profitability, and operational excellence
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams
  • Excellence in customer service with a deep understanding of luxury guest expectations
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute long-term plans
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across cultures
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems and technologies
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of French or other Asian languages is a plus
  • Familiarity with Cambodian culture and business practices is highly desirable
  • Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
