We're looking for a detail-oriented and reliable General Maintenance Technician to join our team at Grand Mercure Mysore, India. In this role, you'll play a vital part in keeping our facilities safe, functional, and well-maintained. You'll perform a diverse range of maintenance tasks, from troubleshooting equipment to installing fixtures, ensuring that our environment remains secure and welcoming for all who use it. • Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on all property facilities and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and longevity
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various building systems and equipment, addressing issues promptly and efficiently
• Install fixtures, electrical equipment, and other components according to specifications and safety standards
• Conduct regular safety inspections throughout the property and take immediate corrective action to address any hazards
• Respond to maintenance requests and assist occupants with facility-related inquiries in a helpful and informative manner
• Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in an organized manner for record-keeping and compliance purposes
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure minimal disruption
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute innovative solutions to enhance maintenance efficiency
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, properly storing tools and materials
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance duties

• Proven experience in building or property maintenance, with a solid understanding of facility operations
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge of various building systems and equipment
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues
• Proficiency in basic electrical and plumbing work (preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and maintenance manuals
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with occupants and team members
• Highly responsible, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards of work
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and working at heights when necessary
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols and regulatory compliance
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a maintenance team
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving facility needs
• Valid driver's license (preferred, for site-related travel if applicable)
