Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Food & Beverage Shift Leader to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee daily food and beverage operations during your assigned shift, ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational excellence, and a positive work environment. You will be responsible for leading, motivating, and developing a team of food service professionals while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

  • Supervise and lead food and beverage staff during assigned shifts, ensuring adherence to company standards and procedures
  • Schedule staff shifts, manage time-off requests, and ensure adequate coverage to meet operational demands
  • Monitor food preparation, presentation, and service quality to maintain consistent excellence and brand standards
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and local health codes specific to Cairo operations
  • Manage inventory levels, track stock usage, and coordinate with suppliers to minimize waste and control costs
  • Address customer concerns and complaints professionally, resolving issues to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Train and mentor team members on service protocols, food safety practices, and company policies
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to support staff development
  • Maintain detailed records of daily operations, sales, and incident reports
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding operational challenges, staffing needs, and performance metrics
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment that promotes professional growth and accountability

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food and beverage operations or restaurant management
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene protocols, and local food regulations in Egypt
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff and customers
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities in fast-paced environments
  • Proficiency in inventory management and cost control
  • Cash handling experience and basic financial acumen
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisive decisions under pressure
  • Customer service excellence and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Preferred: Experience training and developing food service staff
  • Preferred: Knowledge of local Cairo dining culture and customer preferences
  • Preferred: Experience with conflict resolution and difficult customer situations
