Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join our team at Grand Mercure Mysore, India. As a key member of our hospitality management team, you will oversee the daily operations of our food and beverage outlets, ensuring exceptional service quality and guest satisfaction.

  • Lead and manage the food and beverage department, maintaining high standards of service and product quality
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance guest experience and increase revenue
  • Oversee inventory management, cost control, and budget planning for the department
  • Recruit, train, and mentor food and beverage staff, fostering a collaborative and customer-focused environment
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create and update menus, incorporating local and international cuisine trends
  • Coordinate and supervise special events, banquets, and catering services
  • Analyze guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance overall satisfaction
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and maximize efficiency
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a luxury hotel setting
  • Proven track record in banquet and event management
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Opera Systems, and other food & beverage management software
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick, effective decisions
  • Familiarity with local cuisine and cultural preferences in Mysuru and surrounding regions
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Innovative mindset with a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences
