Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Manager to join our dynamic team in Mysuru, India. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing all financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and maintaining robust internal controls. As a Finance Manager, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support strategic financial decision-making while maintaining the highest standards of transparency and compliance. This is a hands-on position that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our organization's financial health and operational efficiency.

  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, bank reconciliations, and comprehensive financial reports in accordance with established accounting standards and management requirements
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, income statements, and general ledger accounts on a daily, monthly, and annual basis to ensure accuracy and integrity
  • Monitor and control all bank accounts, cash positions, and ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly
  • Execute and oversee daily, monthly, and yearly income audit procedures to maintain financial accuracy and compliance
  • Manage payroll operations, including data entry, processing, and coordination with HR and external payroll providers, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for all employees
  • Supervise and mentor the finance team, including accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations, system efficiency, and internal controls
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization and budget management
  • Support budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis to drive informed business decisions
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, accounting standards, and organizational policies through proactive monitoring and documentation
  • Collaborate with department heads to resolve accounting-related issues and provide financial insights that support operational excellence
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for audit purposes, regulatory compliance, and internal reference
  • Lead ad hoc financial projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management
  • Communicate financial performance and insights to stakeholders in a clear, transparent, and timely manner

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 5–8 years of professional experience in a senior accounting or finance role within the hospitality industry or similar corporate environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in payroll management, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience with finance management systems
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, GAAP principles, and hospitality financial reporting frameworks
  • Proven ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments and with diverse teams
  • Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and compliance

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) or hospitality-specific finance software
  • Knowledge of USALI (Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry) or similar hospitality accounting standards
  • Experience in budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Familiarity with vendor management and cost control initiatives
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and developing finance team members
  • Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional credential
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies and system optimization
  • Knowledge of local tax compliance and regulatory requirements in India
