Job Description

General Manager – Mercure Oradea (Opening Spring 2026)

Be an ambassador of Mercure Hotels and Accor as General Manager, where your leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and strategic vision will drive an engaged team, guest satisfaction, and maximized operating results.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a new hotel from pre-opening stage through its launch, shaping the culture, performance, and guest experience of a property designed to international standards.

You will be responsible for:

Leading the business

  • Oversee the pre-opening process and ensure readiness for the hotel’s March 2026 launch

  • Lead the overall management and strategic direction of the property, supporting all departments in achieving operational targets

  • Maximize profitability and manage financial performance, budgets, and cost control

  • Ensure compliance with Accor brand standards, local legislation, and operational controls

Building your team

  • Recruit, develop, and inspire a motivated and engaged hotel team

  • Champion employee engagement and promote a collaborative, inclusive work environment

  • Develop strong relationships within the local community and with business partners

Driving service culture

  • Maintain product and service quality standards to exceed guest expectations

  • Promote the Mercure brand and ensure all brand essentials are consistently executed

  • Position the property as a preferred destination for both business and leisure travelers in Oradea

 


Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Proven experience in a senior hotel leadership role (General Manager or Deputy GM) within an international or reputable hotel brand

Strong leadership and people management skills, with a proven ability to build and motivate teams

Demonstrated success in driving commercial performance and achieving KPIs

Strategic thinker with strong business acumen, creativity, and problem-solving skills

Excellent knowledge of hotel operations, including Rooms and F&B, revenue management, and guest service excellence

Fluent in English; Romanian language skills are an advantage

You will live the brand by:

Developing accurate and ambitious financial objectives aligned with Mercure brand strategy

Interacting positively with all team members to deliver authentic, memorable guest experiences

Fostering positive owner relations and maximizing property performance
