We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team in Kooddoo, Maldives. As a vital member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in our facilities, with a focus on the unique challenges of our tropical island environment.

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings and outdoor facilities
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints specific to our island infrastructure
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment, considering the effects of the tropical climate
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems using appropriate testing devices
• Ensure compliance with local Maldivian electrical codes and safety regulations
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members on projects and repairs
• Respond to emergency calls and provide efficient solutions to electrical issues
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry standards and technologies
• Assist in the development and implementation of energy-efficient electrical solutions suitable for our island setting
• Work on marine electrical systems as needed for our coastal facilities

• Technical Diploma in electrical or ITI
• Valid license to practice as an electrician, recognized in the Maldives
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial, industrial, or marine electrical work
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and equipment, including those used in tropical and marine environments
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to unique island challenges
• Familiarity with Maldivian electrical codes and safety regulations
• Ability to work in rotating shifts and respond to on-call emergencies
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks in various work environments, including outdoor and marine settings
• Proficient in English language communication (both verbal and written)
• Basic computer skills for maintenance record-keeping and communication
• Commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Customer-focused approach to service and problem resolution
• Knowledge of electrical considerations specific to tropical climates
• Familiarity with marine electrical systems and coastal infrastructure
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a remote island location
