Job Description

Do you have a passion for excellence and an expertise in luxury Hotel operations? As a key member of the leadership team, this position plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of excellence, supporting the growth and development of employees, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences, to make “special happen”. 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Reporting to the General Manager, your key responsibilities will be:

Strategic Leadership

  • Partner with the General Manager to align T&C strategies with the hotel’s business goals.
  • Lead cultural transformation initiatives to support brand alignment.
  • Monitor T&C metrics (e.g., turnover, engagement, and productivity) to drive continuous improvement.

Training and Development

  • Create and implement comprehensive training programs to ensure team members embody the hotel’s luxury service standards.
  • Support leadership development and career progression initiatives.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance training, including health and safety, labor laws, and company policies.

Labor Relations

  • Provide coaching, support and advice to leaders to ensure compliance with Union contract in a productive manner
  • Investigate and resolve grievance concerns
  • Proactively work to resolve issues with the Union and foster positive partnership

Employee Relations

  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Manage conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures with professionalism and discretion.
  • Promote a culture of inclusivity, respect, and collaboration.

Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning

  • Oversee recruitment efforts to attract, hire, and retain top talent.
  • Develop and implement workforce plans aligned with the hotel’s operational needs.
  • Partner with department heads to forecast staffing requirements and create succession plans.

Compensation and Benefits Management

  • Collaborate with senior management to design competitive compensation structures.
  • Oversee employee benefits programs and promote engagement initiatives to enhance satisfaction.
  • Conduct periodic benchmarking to maintain market competitiveness.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and hotel policies.
  • Maintain accurate records and oversee audits related to T&C operations.
  • Monitor and mitigate risks associated with workplace issues.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)

  • Promote and implement DEI initiatives across the organization.
  • Ensure fair employment practices and equitable opportunities for all team members.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous Talent & Culture experience within  luxury brands at a senior leadership level
  • Previous experience within a Union environment required.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required.
  • University/College degree in a related discipline preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible & reliable.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.

Additional Information

Salary expectations: Subject to experience and qualification salary range $130,000 - $160,000

Visa Requirements: Successful candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
