Job Description

The Director of Revenue Management (DRM) reports to the Regional Vice President and General Manager and is responsible for leading the hotel Commercial Strategy team in determining strategic vision. As a member of the Executive Committee, this position is integral to the resort’s overall strategic and financial success. The DRM sets goals, implements tactical initiatives, and drives revenue optimization across all key revenue streams while supporting the hotel’s brand positioning and image. The DRM provides analysis, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to the Executive Committee, Accor corporate teams, and ownership. This role ensures inventory allocation, channel management, and pricing strategies are positioned to maximize profitability.  

The DRM directly manages an Assistant Director of Revenue Management and a Revenue & Reservations Manager, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and commercial excellence.

What you will be doing:

Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Lead strategic revenue planning and collaborate with all profit-generating teams to drive incremental profitability across Rooms, F&B, spa, golf, events, and DMC.
  • Lead the hotel’s participation in the annual budget process and produce long-term revenue projections.
  • Create and manage short- and long-term forecasts to optimize pricing and yielding decisions.
  • Present revenue strategies, forecasts, and insights to ownership and corporate teams with confidence and clarity.
  • Monitor competitor and market trends to derive insight-led revenue strategies.

Revenue & Profit Optimization

  • Effectively communicate and foster a Total Hotel Profit Optimization culture, teaching RM concepts across departments.
  • Chair and prepare weekly Revenue Management Meetings, ensuring compliance with brand standards.
  • Maximize revenue contribution by managing booking channels, inventory, and rate structures.
  • Define and implement pricing, promotions, availability strategies, stay restrictions, and customer segmentation tactics.

Distribution, Channels & System Management

  • Direct channel distribution strategies and evaluate new business opportunities.
  • Oversee OTA and GDS partnerships, extranet maintenance, and display optimization.
  • Partner with Sales & Marketing to execute, measure, and refine digital and distribution strategies.
  • Maintain content quality across electronic channels, collaborating with Marketing for updates.
  • Act as system owner for RMS, CRS (ORS & TARS), rate shopping, TravelCLICK, and property-specific platforms, ensuring data integrity.

People & Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Provide strategic direction and mentorship to the Assistant Director of Revenue Management and the Revenue & Reservations Manager, ensuring team alignment and development.
  • Build strong relationships with corporate Accor teams, ownership, and local competitors.
  • Lead, coach, and evaluate team performance to achieve exceptional results in both guest service and employee satisfaction.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of senior revenue management leadership experience in a large hotel or resort environment
  • Previous reservations or distribution management experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or related field

Knowledge & Skills

  • Dynamic can-do attitude
  • Presents a professional and polished appearance
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data into actionable strategies
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor high-performing revenue teams
  • Expertise with Ideas G3 RMS, Opera PMS, Passkey, Delphi, or Opera Sales & Catering (or comparable systems)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and professional excellence

Desirable

  • Previous multi-outlet resort or international hotel experience
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Revenue or Finance) or industry certifications (e.g. CRME, CHRM)
