Job Description

As the Director of Marketing at SO/ Ras Al Khaimah, part of the All-Inclusive Collection, you will lead the development and execution of the hotel’s marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, guest engagement, and revenue growth. You will oversee all marketing, digital, and communications activities, ensuring alignment with the bold, playful, and stylish SO/ brand identity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to drive revenue, guest acquisition, and retention.
  • Oversee all brand, digital, social media, PR, and communications initiatives to maintain brand consistency and enhance visibility.
  • Manage the marketing team, including content creators, digital marketers, and communications staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluation.
  • Collaborate with F&B, rooms, events, and other departments to develop campaigns that highlight hotel offerings and special promotions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and guest insights to inform marketing strategies.
  • Plan and manage the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
  • Establish partnerships with travel agencies, tour operators, influencers, and media to maximize exposure and guest reach.
  • Oversee creation of marketing collateral, promotional content, and advertising campaigns across print, digital, and social platforms.
  • Track, analyze, and report on marketing campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all marketing activities uphold SO/ brand values, style, and playful identity.
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in hotel/resort marketing, with proven leadership in luxury or lifestyle brands.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to drive effective marketing initiatives.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, social media strategy, content creation, PR, and brand management.
  • Leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities to develop high-performing marketing teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of market trends, guest behavior, and hospitality industry best practices.
  • Professional appearance, confident demeanor, and alignment with the SO/ brand identity.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
