Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Housekeeping to join our luxury resort in Rixos Al Mairid, Ras Al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of housekeeping operations, ensuring exceptional cleanliness, comfort, and guest satisfaction while driving innovation and efficiency in our dynamic hospitality environment.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards to maintain world-class cleanliness and comfort
  • Lead and inspire a large team of housekeeping professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Manage daily operations of the housekeeping department, including room cleaning, laundry, public area maintenance, and special project cleaning
  • Coordinate seamlessly with other departments to enhance overall guest experiences
  • Oversee inventory management, procurement, and cost control of cleaning supplies, amenities, linens, and uniforms
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public spaces to ensure adherence to brand standards and quality expectations
  • Develop and manage the annual housekeeping budget, including labor, supplies, and capital expenses
  • Analyze operational metrics and implement data-driven strategies to optimize efficiency and guest satisfaction
  • Spearhead initiatives for sustainability, hygiene, and eco-friendly housekeeping practices
  • Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Respond promptly and empathetically to guest feedback and service recovery issues
  • Cultivate a positive work environment that promotes professional growth, teamwork, and employee retention

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a closely related field is mandatory
  • Extensive experience of 8-10 years in housekeeping management, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership capacity as Director of Housekeeping within the hospitality sector
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale teams and overseeing multi-site housekeeping operations in luxury hospitality establishments
  • Comprehensive understanding and application of international cleaning standards and industry-leading practices in the hospitality sector
  • Exceptional leadership abilities, coupled with superior communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effectively guiding and mentoring diverse teams
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, with a proven track record in budget management, cost control, and performance metrics analysis
  • Substantial expertise in implementing cutting-edge housekeeping technologies and sustainable, eco-friendly practices
  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations pertinent to the hospitality industry
  • Advanced proficiency in housekeeping management software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Superior problem-solving abilities and capacity to make critical decisions in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Thorough understanding of UAE hospitality standards, cultural sensitivities, and labor laws
  • Multilingual proficiency highly valued, with fluency in English and Arabic being essential
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and efficiently manage multiple high-level responsibilities
  • Unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort
