Job Description

  • Preparing a variety of pastries, bread, cakes, and desserts that meet the hotel’s quality standards.

  • Strictly following recipes and pastry techniques to produce products with consistent taste and presentation.

  • Managing the preparation of raw ingredients for pastry production and ensuring cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.

  • Maintaining product quality to meet the 5-star hotel’s standards.

  • Collaborating with other kitchen teams to create exceptional culinary experiences for guests.

  • Managing inventory of pastry ingredients and reporting needs to the procurement department.

  • Assisting in training and development of junior pastry staff or kitchen helpers.

  • Ensuring cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards are met in the kitchen according to hotel guidelines and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) regulations.

  • Participating in menu development and enhancement for pastries, keeping up with trends and guest preferences.

  • Ensuring that all products meet the required quality standards and guest expectations for presentation.


Qualifications

  • Education: Minimum of a Diploma in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or Pastry from a reputable institution.

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Pastry Chef, Demi Chef Pastry, or similar position in a 4-5 star hotel or fine dining restaurant.

  • Skills:

    • Expertise in preparing and producing high-quality pastries, breads, and desserts.

    • In-depth knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.

    • Ability to work efficiently under pressure without compromising on quality.

    • Skilled in pastry decoration and presentation.

    • Time management and multitasking abilities.

  • Additional Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and sanitation practices.

    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

    • A positive, creative, and detail-oriented personality.

    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

    • Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia (English is a plus).
