Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Demi Chef de Partie (Continental) to join our culinary team in Visakhapatnam, India. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality continental cuisine while ensuring efficient operations in your designated station.

  • Prepare, season, and cook continental dishes following recipes and presentation specifications
  • Assist the Chef de Partie in overseeing daily kitchen operations and provide guidance to junior staff
  • Contribute to menu creation and recipe development, incorporating local flavors when appropriate
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Ensure adherence to food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and quality control measures
  • Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies for your station
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely food preparation
  • Train and mentor Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants
  • Participate in menu tastings and provide constructive feedback
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Assist in implementing cost-control measures and work within budgeted guidelines

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or in an equivalent role within a hotel or fine dining establishment
  • Culinary degree or diploma preferred
  • Strong knowledge of continental cuisine, cooking techniques, and international culinary trends
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in menu planning and recipe development
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities
  • Familiarity with local ingredients and flavors of Visakhapatnam, India
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure professionally
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on presentation and quality
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Passion for culinary excellence and commitment to continuous learning and development
