Cook II

What You’ll Be Doing

As Cook II, you’ll support our culinary operations with professionalism and creativity, ensuring each dish reflects our high standards:

  • Prepare, cook, and plate food items with precision and consistency
  • Maintain high levels of kitchen cleanliness and food safety
  • Assist in inventory management and stock ordering
  • Follow kitchen policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times
  • Understand and execute menu items, daily features, and promotional offerings
  • Deliver proactive and friendly service to guests and collaborate closely with colleagues
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support kitchen operations

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Role

We’re seeking a passionate culinary professional with the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a banquet or restaurant culinary setting required
  • Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts is an asset
  • Valid Food Safe certification required
  • Creativity and passion for food and service excellence
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration abilities
  • Highly responsible and reliable, with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule: early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as needed

Physical Requirements (include but are not limited to):         

  • Constant standing and walking throughout your shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, stair or ladder climbing

Visa Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
