Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort & Sunshine Coast Convention Centre is seeking a passionate and detail-driven Conference & Events Executive to join our dynamic team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of exceptional conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners and social celebrations within the Sunshine Coast’s leading convention and events venue, renowned for hosting a wide range of conferences, exhibitions and celebrations.
Hosting up to 1,400 guests, we are recognised as one of Queensland’s premier conference and events destinations, trusted to deliver large-scale, high-impact experiences with precision and style. As Conference & Events Executive, you will manage your own portfolio of events from sales handover through to post-event follow-up, ensuring seamless delivery, strong client relationships and commercially successful outcomes.
This is a fast-paced role where organisation, attention to detail and confident communication are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate conferences and events end-to-end, from confirmation to completion
- Prepare accurate event documentation and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) in Delphi
- Lead client planning meetings and site inspections
- Maintain professional, timely communication across all client interactions
- Deliver events in line with agreed service standards and departmental KPIs
- Manage deposits, billing and final account reconciliation
- Work collaboratively with sales and operational teams to ensure seamless execution
- Uphold exceptional attention to detail across all event processes
You are an experienced events professional who thrives in a high-volume, resort or convention centre environment and takes pride in delivering excellence.
What You Bring
- Previous Conference & Events experience within a hotel or large venue
- Working knowledge of Delphi or similar event management systems
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple events
- High attention to detail and commercial awareness
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence managing client relationships and financial processes
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Professional presentation aligned with premium resort standards
