Job Description

Make Your Mark at Atelier by Sofitel

We invite you to take the lead as Chef de Cuisine at Atelier by Sofitel, a stage for culinary expression, creativity and refined technique.

Atelier by Sofitel is a French-inspired restaurant championing the finest locally sourced and seasonal produce from Sydney, NSW and across Australia. True to its name, Atelier, an artist’s workshop, is a space where ideas are born, flavours are refined and ingredients are transformed into moments of culinary theatre.

As Chef de Cuisine, you will hold creative and operational ownership of our dining restaurant, shaping menus, mentoring talent and crafting memorable dining experiences that reflect both French elegance and modern Australian sensibility. You will balance artistry with commercial acumen, driving profitability while fostering an engaged, high-performing brigade.

Your Craft

Your craft is defined by a sophisticated, disciplined and highly trained palate, underpinned by a deep respect for ingredients and flavour integrity. As a leader, you inspire, mentor and elevate a passionate culinary team, building meaningful, respectful and lasting relationships that foster excellence and collaboration. You bring exceptional organisational and planning capability to your role, maintaining composure and clarity even in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Qualifications

About You

To succeed in this highly sought-after role, you will bring proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or in a comparable leadership position within a luxury or fine-dining environment. You possess impeccable personal presentation, refined communication skills and an unwavering attention to detail.
