We are looking for a Carpenter to join the pre-opening of SLS The Red Sea.

Ennismore, with its luxury brand SLS Hotels, is currently opening a magnificent project in the oasis that is The Red Sea. SLS The Red Sea is planned to open in 2025.

At SLS Red Sea, style and craftsmanship are at the heart of every detail. We’re looking for a skilled Carpenter to join our Engineering team and bring precision, artistry, and reliability to the spaces our guests experience every day.

In this role, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining and enhancing the hotel’s interiors—from guest rooms and public spaces to custom furniture and decorative elements. Whether it’s repairing, fabricating, or installing, you’ll ensure that every piece of woodwork reflects the bold design and high standards of the SLS brand.

Main Responsibilities:

• Carrying out maintenance and repairs on doors, cabinets, wardrobes, shelving, and wooden fittings across the hotel.
• Fabricating and installing custom joinery, decorative panels, partitions, and furniture that match design specifications.
• Refurbishing and restoring wooden structures and furnishings to keep spaces looking flawless.
• Supporting room reconfigurations or special projects by assembling, modifying, or relocating fixtures.
• Reading and interpreting drawings or blueprints to deliver work with accuracy and detail.
• Collaborating with other departments to complete work orders efficiently and support smooth guest operations.
• Following safety protocols and sustainability guidelines while ensuring the highest level of craftsmanship.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in carpentry or joinery maintenance, ideally within a hospitality or residential environment. 
• Strong familiarity with woodworking equipment such as routers, saws, planers, and sanders. 
• Proven experience in furniture assembly, structural joinery, and gypsum board installation and repair. 
• Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed specifications. 
• Good understanding of wood types, surface finishes, and appropriate materials for different applications. 
• Solid troubleshooting skills for diagnosing carpentry-related problems and implementing timely solutions. 
• High level of craftsmanship, precision, and pride in delivering quality finishes. 
• Strong communication skills, with a courteous and helpful attitude towards colleagues and guests. 
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision while being a dependable team player. 
• Well-organized, punctual, and proactive in completing assigned tasks.
