Job Description

  1. Liaises with Management personnel and all employees and assist with security problems and loss control. 

  1. Liaises with local law enforcement and Fire & Safety officials. 

  1. Proper grooming at all times 

  1. Attend training classes as per schedule 

  1. Show fullest cooperation and respect within the team and other departments  

  1. Is aware of the daily activities and has product knowledge of all the hotel facilities 

  1. Reviews, revises and updates Security procedures as necessary. 

  1. Trains all employees in security responsibilities. 

  1. Trains Security employees in all Hotel regulations and all factors affecting the operations of the hotel. Fire prevention and safety procedures, basic fire fighting, life saving techniques, preservation of crime scene and evidence, actions, duties and powers where crime is detected, action in crisis situations, report writing, public relations and psychology. 

  1. Supervises the daily processing in distribution of security reports to the Management. 

  1. Keeps all records and report concerning security matters and Hotel businesses confidential. 

  1. Attends and participates in Safety & Security meetings and others staff meetings as determined by Director of Security/General Manager. 

  1. Is fully trained and prepared for all emergency situations as per procedures. 

  1. In close coordination with the engineering department, to conduct regular preventive maintenance of all safety equipment. 

  1. Supervises that all employees locking in with the proximity card reader, located at the security post at the staff entrance. 

  1. Strictly controls in and out back-of-the-house of contractors, visitors and suppliers. Visitor passes to be issued and controlled. 

  1. Frequent control and supervision of all security posts, including CCTV room. 

  1. Co-ordination with the Engineering and Rooms division. 

  1. Ensures all staff is thoroughly familiar with the Hotel’s emergency procedures and is in a state of preparedness for any emergency which way occur. 

  1. Execution of regular technical/skills training. Is responsible for setting up and maintaining ongoing training programs in the HK & FO in conjunction with Human Resources & L & D Manager. 

  1. Reviews Security logbook daily and takes action if needed, informs Director of Security. 

  1. Maintains a monthly overview of vacation – and public holiday balance of all security staff and delivers a monthly consolidated summary to the Director of HR. 

  1. If familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility 

  1. Establish and keeps updating the emergency manual, with appropriate procedures and forms 

  1. In coordination with Director of Engineering, prepares a comprehensive fire & safety manual and to train existing employees and new comers on a regular basis, generic and with live fire drills. 

  1. Conducts skills/technical training within his/her area of responsibility on regular basis. 

  1. Very close relationship with the Police and Fire department and to make regular courtesy visits. 

  1. Other duties assigned. 


Qualifications

University Degree in Security / Law Enforcement. Minimum 3 years in a similar role with a five star hotel .Team management skills, computer skills and Excellent communication skills.
