Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Purchasing Manager to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will support the Purchasing Manager in ensuring efficient procurement processes and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

  • Assist the Purchasing Manager in procuring items for operational needs
  • Research and analyze market trends, prices, and product availability
  • Manage importing procedures, purchasing dispositions, and receiving processes
  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best quality goods at competitive prices
  • Maintain up-to-date records of supplier information, prices, and quantities
  • Process purchase orders based on authorized purchase requests
  • Obtain and evaluate multiple quotations for each purchase request
  • Collaborate with department heads to determine quality and quantity requirements
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and proper storage arrangements
  • Keep the Purchasing Manager informed about market developments
  • Adhere to company policies and local legal compliances related to procurement
  • Contribute ideas for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in administration, finance, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Proven experience in purchasing or supply chain management, preferably in Jeddah or Saudi Arabia
  • Strong command of English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with procurement software
  • In-depth understanding of purchasing procedures, importing processes, and local legal compliances
  • Excellent negotiation and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles
  • Familiarity with the local market in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
