Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager Reservation to join our dynamic team in Visakhapatnam, India. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of group inventory management within our Property Management System (PMS). You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely entry of new, revised, and cancelled convention room blocks while maintaining optimal inventory levels. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career in hospitality management while working collaboratively with sales, revenue management, and front office teams to drive organizational success.

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of group inventory management processes within the PMS, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all entries
  • Conduct daily reviews of group pick-up reports to monitor cut-off dates, track group availability, and identify potential issues proactively
  • Perform daily inventory controls to release rooms, extend cut-offs, and adjust availability based on sales contracts, group pick-up meetings, and revenue management directives
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with sales and revenue management teams to ensure efficiency and alignment in group inventory management
  • Attend revenue management meetings, pick-up meetings, pre-convention meetings, and other designated meetings as required
  • Provide exceptional service recovery for reservation-related guest complaints and deliver constructive feedback to customers and relevant departments
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of all room statistics reports, Reports of Operations, and related documentation
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of revenue plans while supporting property sales strategies
  • Maintain organized and clean work areas while ensuring all revenue management systems are properly maintained
  • Prepare and assist in developing occupancy forecasts using analytical skills and historical data
  • Perform reservations sales agent functions when needed to support team operations
  • Update selling scripts regularly to ensure user-friendly communication and maximize key benefits for guests
  • Take personal responsibility and initiative to resolve issues and drive positive outcomes
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

**Required Skills:**

  • Advanced proficiency with Property Management Systems (PMS) and reservation software
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional customer service and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail with strong numerical accuracy

**Required Experience:**

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in hotel/hospitality industry
  • Proven experience in reservation management or front office operations
  • Demonstrated experience with group inventory management or revenue management
  • Experience coordinating with multiple departments in a hotel environment

**Required Education:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Hotel management certification or hospitality-related degree
  • Experience with revenue optimization strategies
  • Knowledge of group sales coordination and convention management
  • Familiarity with hotel operations and yield management principles
  • Leadership experience or supervisory background
