Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager for our outlet in Visakhapatnam, India. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team where you will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence, maximizing revenue, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. As Assistant Manager, you will support the outlet's leadership in managing day-to-day operations while fostering a positive, collaborative work environment that inspires your team to achieve organizational goals.

**Administration & Operations**

  • Maintain comprehensive outlet records and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate proactive planning and problem-solving to anticipate operational challenges and implement effective solutions
  • Monitor financial performance metrics (budget versus actual) in sales and cost areas to ensure profitability targets are met
  • Exercise prudent expense management and implement cost-control measures without compromising service quality
  • Ensure all project deadlines are met and maintain organized scheduling to cover peak operational periods
  • Conduct regular and thorough inspections of outlet operations at least weekly to maintain standards
  • Develop a capable team of staff members who can make informed decisions independently, allowing you to confidently delegate responsibilities
  • Organize well-planned, results-oriented meetings that drive team alignment and performance

**Financial & Revenue Management**

  • Monitor all operational costs and recommend strategic measures to control and reduce expenses
  • Collaborate with management to establish and oversee incentive schemes that motivate team performance
  • Ensure strict adherence to the outlet's operational budget and financial targets
  • Communicate monthly forecasts and revenue targets clearly to the team and track progress consistently
  • Balance financial discipline with maintaining company standards and brand values
  • Identify opportunities to enhance revenue through promotions, partnerships, and strategic initiatives

**Human Resources & Team Development**

  • Ensure the team adheres to all company policies, procedures, and operational standards
  • Onboard new team members following company protocols and provide comprehensive training
  • Identify individual development needs and conduct targeted training to enhance staff capabilities
  • Support performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to foster professional growth
  • Lead by example and maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive working environment
  • Delegate responsibilities appropriately based on individual skill levels and capabilities
  • Motivate and empower your team to achieve excellence and embrace company vision

**Guest Service & Customer Focus**

  • Consistently monitor and uphold company operating standards and service culture
  • Demonstrate luxury service orientation and take pride in exceeding guest expectations
  • Actively promote special events, promotions, and outlet facilities to drive business growth
  • Adapt your management approach to different situations and audiences using strong interpersonal skills
  • Ensure guest feedback is collected, analyzed, and acted upon to continuously improve service quality

**Compliance & Safety**

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of outlet fire procedures, security protocols, and health and safety policies
  • Ensure confidentiality of all company, customer, and staff information both during and after employment
  • Adhere to company internet and email policies
  • Implement and monitor compliance with all regulatory requirements and company standards

Qualifications

**Required Skills & Competencies**

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities
  • Proficient in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control
  • Skilled in inventory management and resource planning
  • Proficiency with F&B or retail management software and general administration programs
  • Advanced time management and organizational skills
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Decision-making ability under pressure with sound judgment
  • Customer service excellence and luxury service orientation
  • Ability to work flexibly, including opening and closing shifts during peak periods

**Required Experience**

  • Minimum 3-5 years of managerial experience in hospitality, retail, or food and beverage outlets
  • Proven track record in managing budgets and controlling operational costs
  • Demonstrated experience in staff training, development, and performance management
  • Experience in luxury establishments or high-end retail environments
  • Proven ability to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets
  • Background in scheduling, resource allocation, and operational planning

**Required Education**

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field

**Language Proficiency**

  • Excellent proficiency in English (reading, writing, and oral communication)
  • Basic understanding of local languages is an advantage

**Domain Expertise**

  • In-depth knowledge of outlet operations and hospitality/retail industry standards
  • Understanding of health, safety, and security compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with luxury service standards and brand positioning
  • Knowledge of F&B operations (if applicable to outlet type)

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Certification in Hospitality Management or Food and Beverage Operations
  • Experience with multiple F&B or retail aggregator platforms
  • Multilingual capabilities
  • Prior experience in a similar role within a luxury brand or high-end establishment
