Job Description

Prime Function:

  • Assist the IT Manager to manage the implementation and maintenance of information systems, data processing systems and procedures for Ibis to include databases, network administration, applications programming, web design and user support systems.
  • Coordinate with external clients to meet Information System objectives.
  • Assist the IT Manager to analyze user needs and establish policies and procedures for the information systems.
  • Any matter which may effect the interests of the hotel should be brought to the attention of the Management.

Key Responsibilities:

Information Systems Planning

  • Assist the IT Manager to plan, direct and control all day-to-day information systems functions.
  • Ensure to assist the IT Manager to plan and approve equipment and software purchases related to systems (operating systems, related software, storage devices, etc.).
  • Analyze user needs & establish trends.

People Management

  • Ensure that all personnel are kept well informed of department’s objectives and policies.
  • Motivate and develop the team to ensure smooth functioning of the department and promote teamwork.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with all the departments.
  • Respond to queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Financial Management

 

  • Identify optimal, cost effective use of the resources and educate the team on the same.
  • Conduct periodic and annual inventory audits of the equipment & recommend replacement of equipment if required, to the IT Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in IT support or infrastructure management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
