Job Description

Overview

As Assistant Director, Finance & Business Support with the Finance department at Fairmont Heritage Place Ghirardelli Square, you will provide leadership support within the department while continuing to deliver exceptional service to both our residential owners and colleagues. You enjoy a dynamic role that allows you to engage in a variety of tasks, projects, and responsibilities. You take initiative to identify areas of opportunity and then pursue the appropriate actions to achieve resolution. You often utilize "adaptable," "detail-obsessed," and "collaborative" as words to describe yourself. You are stimulated and thrive in an ever-changing environment, while possessing the ability to perform under pressure and collaborate with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of the accounting department; ensuring all standards are followed
  • Prepare and post journal and month end journal entries, ensuring efficient completions of all month-end functions
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
  • Monitor, supervise and prepare month-end balance sheet account reconciliation and analysis
  • Process and manage payroll, union experience a plus
  • Oversee all banking functions, complete bank reconciliation and analysis for both HOA and Rental Operations.
  • Coordinate and ensure that all daily, semi-monthly, and monthly management reports are issued on a timely and accurate basis
  • Assist department in the interpretation, orientation, training and analysis of accounting matters
  • Participate in the creation of monthly Operating Forecasts, variance analysis, commentary
  • Monitor the accounting control procedures as per NCA SOP, USALI, GAAP
  • Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs
  • Participate in the recruitment and training of new Colleagues
  • Assist in the financial audit preparation
  • Adhere to all PCI Compliance measures and audit annual user training for property
  • Adhere to all Davis Stirling Civil Code and HOA Governing Documents including but not limited to: Annual Policy Statement and Owner Delinquency.
  • Ensure accurate and appropriate recording of revenues and expenses
  • Represent the accounting office in the absence of the Director of Finance & Business Support
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures
  • Follow all safety policies
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Votre expérience et vos compétences incluent :
Qualité de service essentielle et passion pour la restauration
Une expérience similaire dans le management est un plus
Bonne communication interpersonnelle et capacité à gérer les conflits/problématiques, capacité à manager et à être exemplaire
