Job Description

Working in the Salter Brothers Accor Portfolio Hub based out of Ibis Styles Sydney Central, you will be responsible for assisting the Financial Controller and Hotel Accountant in the daily operation of the Finance department. With an AP focus, you will provide accurate, relevant and timely support in all areas. This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking a new challenge in a dynamic environment. 

Your duties will include: 

  • Preparing daily revenue reports
  • Verifying invoices for accuracy and authorisations
  • Maintaining and updating vendor information
  • Preparing payment runs 
  • Reconciling suppliers’ statement of account and follow-up for any missing invoices.
  • Active involvement in the month end process, including carrying out reconciliations 
  • Preparing accrual journals

Qualifications

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Minimum 1 years AP experience or 2 years in Finance in the Hotel industry
  • An Accounting or related degree in Australia 
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of general ledger coding and accounts structures.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • An ability to priortise tasks and meet deadlines
  • A passion for accuracy and attention to detail
  • Collaborative and clear verbal and written communication
