Company Description

We are looking for Sales Managers to join the re-opening of the famed Delano Miami Beach.

Set to open its doors in 2025, Delano Miami Beach will fuse historic charm with contemporary luxury, reflecting a reimagined experience that pays homage to the original visionary concept. Comprising 170 rooms and distinct food and beverage concepts, the hotel will preserve its iconic walk-in pool and, in addition, unveil a new pool on an amenity deck, offering breathtaking views of the ocean. Delano Miami Beach will act as the brand’s flagship location, re-establishing Delano as a trailblazer in luxury lifestyle hospitality.  Ennismore, in partnership with Cain International (the owners of Delano Miami Beach as well as partner in the Delano brand), are currently undertaking a significant renovation and redevelopment of the iconic Delano hotel with an aim to open its doors again ahead of the 2025 winter high season.


Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW:  

Under the general guidance of the Director of Sales, the Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue through proactive business development, account management, and strategic sales execution. This role focuses on generating new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and collaborating with the sales team to achieve and exceed monthly revenue goals. The Sales Manager also plays a key role in preparing and executing action plans, qualifying prospective clients, and negotiating rates and contracts. Through a results-driven and customer-focused approach, this position contributes to overall business growth while maintaining high service standards and client satisfaction. 

 

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Proactively generate new group and transient business to maximize occupancy and revenue for the 171 room luxury property. 

  • Manage a portfolio of top-producing national and international accounts, ensuring consistent repeat business and account growth. 

  • Solicit, negotiate, and confirm group business with a focus on driving revenue and maximizing profitability. 

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through research, referrals, and various lead sources on a consistent basis. 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, travel planners, corporate buyers, and agency partners. 

  • Prepare and execute targeted sales action plans to penetrate new markets and grow share within existing ones. 

  • Conduct in-person and virtual sales calls, site inspections, client entertainment, and familiarization trips as needed. 

  • Prepare detailed proposals and contracts in line with Delano’s brand standards and revenue management strategies. 

  • Collaborate with Revenue, Front Office, and Events teams to ensure a seamless guest experience and successful program execution. 

  • Maintain deep knowledge of Delano’s unique offerings, rate structures, seasonal packages, and brand positioning. 

  • Input and maintain accurate records of account activity and lead tracking in the Sales Information Management System. 

  • Monitor competitive performance and adjust sales strategies accordingly to maintain a strong market position. 

  • Represent Delano Miami Beach at trade shows, sales missions, industry events, and client activations as directed. 

  • Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly production and activity reports to the Director of Sales. 

  • Support marketing efforts by providing input on promotions, collateral, and digital campaigns tailored to key segments. 

  • Participate in hotel-wide initiatives and cross-departmental meetings to align business goals and guest satisfaction. 

  • Provide lateral service and support to other departments as needed to ensure a consistent luxury guest experience. 

  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of Sales or Executive Team. 

  • We recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service.  We will on occasion call for each individual in the team to on a routine basis perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service. 


Qualifications

 

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred, ideally in Hospitality, Business, or a related field 

  • Minimum of two (2) years of hotel sales experience in a Sales Manager role, preferably within an upscale/luxury or lifestyle hotel brand 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of sales practices, food and beverage operations, and guest service etiquette 

  • Basic understanding of legal contract language and sales/group/event terms 

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of embodying company values and fostering a high-energy, motivated team culture 

  • Intermediate to proficient skills in hotel and office systems, including Opera PMS, Microsoft Office  and CRM platforms 

  • Ability to enter and retrieve data efficiently using hotel systems and/or point-of-sale platforms 

  • Comfortable spending extended periods working on a computer or digital platform 

  • Possesses a gracious, professional, and approachable demeanor reflective of a luxury brand 

  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills; thrives in fast-paced environments with high attention to detail 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining positive interdepartmental relationships 

  • Physically able to stand or walk for extended shifts (up to 8 hours or more) and respond quickly to guest or client needs 

  • Must be able to lift, twist, push, pull, bend, climb, and carry objects as needed for site inspections or event prep 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be fluent in English 

  • Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors, in varying conditions, based on business demand 

  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and safety laws, including equal employment opportunity, wage and hour regulations, and occupational safety compliance 

  • All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Specific department  uniform guidelines and/or required articles of clothing will be explained to you by your supervisor.
