Job Description

  • Supervise and guide the Front Office team, delegating tasks across different areas when necessary.

  • Monitor, check, and report on daily room status.

  • Ensure effective communication and cooperation with Housekeeping regarding room discrepancies and resolve any inconsistencies.

  • Oversee guest check-in and check-out procedures in line with hotel standards.

  • Control guaranteed reservations, long-stay agreements, and group bookings.

  • Verify prepayments, billing processes, and credit card authorizations.

  • Coordinate arrivals and departures for individual and group guests, ensuring their special requests are met.

  • Ensure preparation of daily reports, “Flag Report,” and bucket controls.

  • Maintain departmental communication through memo distribution and keep the Front Office board up to date.

  • Train, guide, and support the development of interns and new employees.

  • Represent the Front Office Supervisor in his/her absence.

  • Handle guest complaints effectively and coordinate with other departments when required.

  • Be familiar with and apply hotel security and fire safety procedures.

  • Conduct daily credit checks and ensure proper cash closure procedures are followed.

  • Participate in recruitment processes, and support the training and professional development of the team.

  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the management.


Qualifications

  • Degree in Tourism & Hospitality Management or a related field.

  • Previous experience in a similar role within 4- or 5-star hotels.

  • Strong knowledge of Front Office operations and hotel systems (Opera PMS preferred).

  • Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Guest-oriented, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Flexible to work shifts, including night duty.

  • Fluent in English (a second foreign language is an asset).

  • Proficient in MS Office applications.

  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
