Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef De Partie to join our culinary team at Swissotel Corniche Park Towers Doha, Qatar. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene are maintained at all times.

  • Manage and coordinate activities within your assigned kitchen section (e.g., pastry, grill, or cold section)
  • Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Ensure consistent food quality and portion control
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff in your section
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Assist in menu planning and development of new dishes
  • Collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth operations and timely food delivery
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels in your section
  • Implement and maintain HACCP standards
  • Participate in cost control measures and minimize food waste
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff during service

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Chef De Partie or in a similar role, preferably in a 4 or 5-star hotel
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene standards
  • Proficiency in various cooking techniques and international cuisines
  • Creativity in dish presentation and menu development
  • Excellent team leadership and training skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and consistency
  • Flexibility to work in different kitchen sections as needed
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus
