Company Description

Located in the heart of Broadbeach, just 200m from patrolled beaches, Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach is a luxurious five-star hotel, featuring 296 beautifully appointed rooms and suites, all with breathtaking Pacific Ocean or Hinterland views, and multiple Food & Beverage outlets.


Job Description

  • Lead the breakfast kitchen brigade supervising and setting a positive example for the team, with the support of the Head Chef.
  • Prepare and cook breakfast dishes according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure all food preparation and plating is executed efficiently and meets presentation guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of breakfast station and kitchen areas in line with HACCP procedures.
  • Assist in stock management and inventory control while managing costs.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing ones.
  • Uphold and enforce strict health and hygiene standards.
  • Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned.
  • Liaise with the Head Chef and Sous Chef on matters as you promote an engaged team

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie, specializing in breakfast service in a hotel environment advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of breakfast cooking techniques and recipes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Trade qualifications from a culinary school.
