Job Description

Job Summary:

The Director of Laundry will oversee all aspects of the laundry operations for Raffles & Fairmont Doha, ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. This role involves managing a large team, implementing best practices, and maintaining cost-effective operations while adhering to brand standards and sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily laundry operations, including guest laundry, dry cleaning, and staff uniforms.

  • Ensure compliance with brand and quality standards, maintaining luxury-level service and efficiency.

  • Manage and develop a team of laundry professionals, ensuring optimal staff performance and motivation.

  • Monitor and control budgets, expenses, and inventory to optimize operational costs.

  • Implement and enforce health and safety protocols in line with company policies.

  • Work closely with Housekeeping and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

  • Ensure all laundry equipment is well-maintained, conducting regular inspections and liaising with engineering teams for repairs and upgrades.

  • Drive sustainability initiatives, including water and energy conservation efforts.

  • Analyze operational data and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

  • Handle guest concerns and special requests related to laundry services.


Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a leadership role within luxury hotel laundry operations.

  • Strong knowledge of laundry equipment, cleaning agents, and fabric care techniques.

  • Proven experience in managing large teams and complex laundry operations.

  • Excellent budgeting, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service.

  • Knowledge of sustainability practices in laundry operations is an advantage.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
