Ibis Melbourne Glen Waverley is situated 25 minutes east of Melbourne CBD and it offers 155 rooms, Ibis Kitchen & Bar, and 4 flexible meeting rooms catering from 4 delegates up to 120 delegates. Our hotel is the gateway to the magnificent Dandenong Ranges, Yarra Valley Food & Wine District, the Mornington Peninsula and Phillip Island.

ibis Melbourne Glen Waverley is looking for a dedicated and passionate Demi Chef to join our Kitchen team. If you have a love for cooking and a desire to learn and grow in a dynamic kitchen environment, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Preparation and cooking for buffet breakfast, a la carte dinner, room service and conferences and events
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment whilst ensuring a product of high quality and presentation standards
- Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage
- Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned
- Collaborate with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
- Previous experience as a Demi Chef or Commis Chef in a hotel or restaurant environment.
- Completion of a Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
- Enthusiasm for cooking and a strong desire to learn and grow
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Ability to work well in a team and handle a fast-paced kitchen
- Willingness to work flexible hours including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays periods
