Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North comprises a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort boasts panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Meryal Waterpark attraction. The Rig 1938 is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.


Job Description

Web Manager

This position is responsible for managing and optimizing the property’s online presence, including the official website, booking platforms, and digital marketing channels. This role focuses on enhancing user experience, increasing direct bookings, and ensuring brand consistency across all digital touchpoints.

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure the website is running smoothly, updating software and content, troubleshooting technical issues, and managing hosting and domain registration.
  • Manage and update website content, creating new content, and potentially collaborating with content creators and marketing teams. 
  • Oversee the development and redesign of the website, ensuring it meets business needs and user requirements.
  • Monitor website traffic, user behavior, and overall performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement and manage SEO strategies to improve website visibility and search engine rankings.
  • Work with various teams, including marketing, IT, and content creators, to ensure website objectives are met.
  • Manage web development projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Improve the website's user experience (UX) and ensuring it is accessible to users with disabilities.
  • Manage online booking engines, integrate with Property Management Systems (PMS), and optimize conversion rates for direct bookings.
  • Implement SEO best practices to improve organic search rankings and increase website traffic.
  • Ensure website security and compliance with data protection laws.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to the website and booking systems promptly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing websites, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of website management tools (e.g., WordPress, Joomla), CMS, booking engines and PMS integrations.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and website maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools (Preferred).
  • Graphic design or multimedia skills (Preferred).
  • Multilingual capabilities (Preferred).
