Steward Supervisor – New Opening – Hatta

Our adventure camp in the Hatta mountains celebrates the land’s spirit, providing countless ways to play and explore the outdoors. Fifty caravans form a lively community inspired by nomadic exploration, surrounded by hiking and biking trails throughout mountainous terrain that immerse guests in the region’s natural beauty. A central restaurant fueled by local flavors is designed for guests to gather, and a wellness center offers restorative rituals drawing from local tradition. 

As we prepare to open our doors, we’re seeking a Steward Supervisor who will play a key role in keeping our heart of house immaculate, efficient, and ready to support unforgettable guest experiences.

This role is essential to ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and the smooth functioning of all back-of-house areas — supporting the culinary team and upholding the operational excellence that defines our mountain escape.

Stewarding Operations & Supervision

• Supervise daily stewarding activities, ensuring all kitchen and back-of-house areas are clean, sanitised, and well-maintained.

• Lead, train, and support a team of stewards, providing guidance, motivation, and hands-on assistance.

• Monitor dishwashing operations, cleanliness standards, and equipment functionality.

• Ensure that cleaning schedules and task assignments are followed consistently.

Inventory & Resource Management

• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and stewarding equipment.

• Oversee proper storage, handling, and rotation of cleaning materials.

• Coordinate with the culinary and procurement teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.

Health, Safety & Hygiene Compliance

• Ensure all stewarding practices comply with hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards.

• Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations across all back-of-house areas.

• Report equipment issues and coordinate repairs to ensure uninterrupted operations.

• Conduct regular inspections to uphold cleanliness and safety benchmarks.

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with the Culinary, Engineering, and Food & Beverage teams to support their operational needs.

• Assist with banquet setup, equipment movements, and special event preparations where required.

• Communicate openly with department leaders to ensure efficient workflow and timely task completion.

Team Development & Leadership

• Train new stewards on cleaning techniques, safety standards, and equipment use.

• Support a positive, respectful, and team-oriented working environment.

• Lead by example through professionalism, integrity, and hands-on involvement.

• Previous experience in stewarding, kitchen operations, or supervisory roles within hospitality.

• Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise.

• Knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards (HACCP preferred).

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a diverse team.

• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach.

• A positive attitude and commitment to operational excellence.
