Novotel London West Hotel is part of Accor, the leading global hospitality group. It is one of the largest conference and accommodation providers within Accor. The hotel provides the international business community with space for up to 3000 delegates across 33 meeting rooms. It accommodates both business and leisure guests in one of our 630 bedrooms

We are excited to be looking for a Rooms Division Manager to join our team. We are looking for someone who is experienced in this field and above all, we want someone who enjoys being part of team, working with our employees, clients and is enthusiastic, creative and passionate about what they do!


Job Description

  • Ensure the high standard of services for guests and the attainment of the department's qualitative targets
  • Conveys the hotel's image and atmosphere through her/his exemplary attitude, warm and friendly welcome, availability and frequent presence in the field
  • Be responsible for managing the first impressions of our guests and deliver high standards of services
  • Manage sand motivates the teams in order to improve sales and the quality
  • Draw up the annual budget for the department and follows up implementation
  • Is often present in the lobby and at reception in order to meet guests on a daily basis
  • Handle guest complaints if they have not been dealt with by team members
  • Manage Front Office and Guest Relations Team and liaise with housekeeping fostering a culture of growth, development and performance within the department
  • Responsible for the departmental budget, ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, that productivity and performance levels are attained
  • Ensure that all brand reference guidelines are correctly applied at all times
  • Openly communicate with staff ensuring regular briefings occur and all relevant information is passed on
  • Create a team that works together with trust and takes responsibility to meet the goals of the department and Hotel
  • Implement Accor training initiatives with particular emphasis on coordinated and structured on job training aligned with service standards and service procedures
  • Responsible for the recruitment, selection and training of all department heads within the Rooms Division and to oversee the continuous development of all managers within the Rooms Division department
  • Achieve effective communication by briefing and debriefing staff, holding regular departmental meetings and actively encouraging transparent communication with other departments within the Hotel
  • Optimise the hotel's occupancy rates and develops associated services
  • Ensure that all sales made comply with the sales policy as defined by the brand and the hotel
  • Play an active role in the marketplace policy
  • Provide guidance and support to the Reception team, helping them to achieve their potential and accomplish overall departmental objectives.
  • Assist in effectively running the front office operations with a hands-on approach.
  • Help guests and create positive experiences.
  • Are confident in all aspects of guest relations, receiving and recognizing all guests including those who require special attention.
  • Maintain strong working relationships and communicate with all departments.

Qualifications

·Minimum one years’ experience as Rooms Division Manager in an similar property or a very well rounded Front Office Manager

·Excellent communication, presentation & interpersonal skills - A strong team player

·Self-motivated and good organisational skill

·Experience desirable in Opera Cloud

·You must be legally eligible to work in UK.
