Job Description

How does your working day look like …

  • Manage incoming reservation requests via phone, email, and online platforms with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Provide guests with accurate information on availability, seating options, and special requests while guiding them through the reservation process.
  • Use the reservation management system to accurately record, modify, and track reservations.
  • Monitor reservation patterns to optimize table usage and maximize seating capacity.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests in a timely manner.
  • Assist guests in choosing suitable dining options based on preferences, dietary restrictions, and special occasions.
  • Offer personalized recommendations and suggestions to enhance guests' overall dining experience.
  • Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth seating arrangements and minimize wait times.
  • Maintain effective communication with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely seating and service flow.
  • Manage and track waitlists, providing guests with accurate wait-time estimates and regular updates.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with regular patrons while creating a welcoming atmosphere for new guests.
  • Professionally handle guest feedback and complaints, resolving issues quickly and escalating when necessary.
  • Stay updated on restaurant offerings, menus, and promotions to provide guests with accurate and current information.
  • Perform administrative duties such as maintaining reservation logs, generating reports, and managing customer databases.
  • Assist in organizing and preparing special events and group reservations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with guests professionally.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with reservation management systems and software.
  • In-depth understanding of restaurant operations and dining etiquette.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while remaining calm and focused.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
