Job Description

The Front Office Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all front office functions, including guest check-in/check-out, reservations, and guest services. This position plays a key role in maintaining high standards of customer service and maximizing revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Services:

    • Oversee guest check-in and check-out procedures to ensure efficiency and guest satisfaction.
    • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
    • Maintain a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere in the lobby area.
  2. Reservations Management:

    • Manage reservation systems to ensure accuracy and maximize room occupancy.
    • Coordinate with the reservations team to handle room assignments and special requests.
    • Monitor room availability and make adjustments to maximize revenue.
  3. Staff Supervision and Training:

    • Recruit, train, and supervise front office staff, including front desk agents, concierge, and bell staff.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to staff.
    • Ensure staff are knowledgeable about hotel services, policies, and procedures.
  4. Financial Management:

    • Implement strategies to maximize revenue, such as upselling rooms and promoting hotel amenities.
    • Prepare reports on occupancy rates, revenue, and other key performance indicators.
  5. Safety and Security:

    • Ensure compliance with hotel security policies and procedures.
    • Address any safety concerns or issues promptly and effectively.
    • Coordinate with other departments to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role in a hotel front office.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
