Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join the Salter Brothers & Accor Portfolio in a key compliance-focused role. Reporting directly to the Portfolio Director of Finance you will oversee the daily financial operations of our 11 hotels, ensuring maximum profitability across the portfolio. Working alongside the Finance Controller – Operations, this is a crucial position that plays a key part in driving financial performance and maintaining compliance standards. 

You will: 

  • Ensure all company and regulatory deadlines are met 
  • Set up and maintain a compliant internal audit framework for the Portfolio  
  • Accurately distribute financial information to the General Managers, the Portfolio General Manager, Accor & Owners  
  • Authorise outgoing payments for the Hotels 
  • Monitor all internal and external payroll requirements  
  • Supervise monthly reconciliations 
  • Review and approve Payroll according to Accor policy  
  • Lead and mentor colleagues, fostering a culture of development and growth 

Qualifications

  • A minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role in the Hotel industry  
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting and/or Finance or Commerce 
  • Experience of practicing key financial/accounting principles including Tax and Payroll related matters in Australia  
  • CA or CPA qualifications is a plus  
  • Experience in developing and managing a team 
  • Being curious & open minded with a collaborative mindset
