Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Assistant Manager Housekeeping to join our team in Pune, India. In this role, you will support the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing all aspects of the housekeeping operation, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with the Executive Housekeeper to manage daily housekeeping operations
  • Coordinate, schedule, and supervise the housekeeping team to ensure optimal performance
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness standards throughout the property
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effective operations
  • Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to housekeeping staff
  • Facilitate effective communication between guests, housekeeping team, and other departments
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols and HACCP standards
  • Assist in developing and implementing innovative housekeeping procedures
  • Handle guest complaints and concerns promptly and professionally
  • Participate in budgeting and cost control measures for the housekeeping department

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of experience as a supervisory leader in housekeeping, preferably in a hotel or resort setting
  • Proven track record of leadership and team management skills
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and safety protocols
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards
  • Proficiency in inventory management and budgeting
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to train and develop team members
  • Proficiency in using housekeeping management software
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
