Orient Express Silenseas

140 years after the launch of its first luxury trains, the Orient Express legend continues with the launch of the world's largest sailing ships, the Orient Express Silenseas. A revolution in maritime history, and a fabulous project that pushes back the limits of what is possible. The result of a unique French partnership between Accor, the world leader in hospitality, and Chantiers de l'Atlantique, the world's leading cruiseship builder. This extraordinary sailing ship of the future, with its spectacular interiors, will set sail in 2026.

Shipping HoldCo

For legal matters, the Orient Express Silenseas vessels will belong to the Shipping HoldCo Company, a subsidiary of Accor Luxury & Lifestyle, which owns and is responsible for the Silenseas vessel construction and operation.


Job Description

Reporting to the Site Manager, the role and responsabilities of the Office Assistant will be: 

Opening of Site office

  • Helping the site office Manager for first outfitting of the Site offices, first the provisional office, then the permanent (due in September 2024)
  • Helping the site office Manager in decoration of office to give an Orient-Express touch

Support to on-site team

  • Following request for inspections
  • Organizing the documentation on-site – Including printing / folding of a few drawings
  • Facilitizing foreign crew administration (husbanding)
  • Ordering PPE
  • Ordering stationary and other needed equipment

General Secretary Missions

  • Assisting the site manager and site team for travel organization
  • General mailing
  • Expenses follow-up for site and supervisors 

Support to Events

  • Assisting the Chief Technical Officer and the site office Manager for the organization of events (steel cutting, launching, naming ceremony), in liaison with the Comex Assistant in HQ.

Qualifications

Typical Background and competencies:

  • 5 years of experience in the same position.
  • French (mother tongue) English: fluent (written, spoken).
  • Conversant with MS office and on-line applications.
  • Being able to use new equipment like plotters and drawings folding machine.
  • Autonomy in tasks.
  •  Good soft skills.
