As the world and Toronto move toward a more sustainable future, our landmark hotel is in a stunning transformation for the zero-carbon century ahead.

To provide clean and repaired garments to colleagues and guests in accordance with our Brand standards, policies and procedures.

• Ensure appropriate and detailed cleaning of employee uniforms
• Inspect all uniforms for repairs on a weekly basis
• Keep track of all uniforms sent out and returned from outside dry cleaners
• Perform repairs on uniforms and guest clothing as required
• Perform in-house pressing of colleague uniforms
• Perform in-house pressing of guests garments when required
• Report equipment malfunctions and irregularities
• Ensure that the uniform area is kept clean and organized
• Comply with the Hotel Policies and Procedures
• Performs any other duties as assigned by manager
• Pickup and deliver guest articles in a timely manner
• Answer phone calls in a timely manner

• Fluency in English (written and verbal) a must
• Seamstress experience is required
• Minimum high school diploma
• Excellent Guest Service skills
• Teamwork approach to all duties and helpful attitude with co-workers
• Efficient and effective approach to completing all tasks 
• Able to complete repairs and alterations to guest clothing and colleague uniforms
• Previous seamstress experience is an asset

Physical Aspects of Position include but are not limited to the following: 

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Constant kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
