Housekeeping Runner

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Assist villa attendants with their work and ensure items are delivered on a timely manner whilst adhering to hotel policies and procedures.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect clean linen from the laundry and distribute to the pantries and villas to the room attendants.
• Pick up soil linen from the pantries and villas and deliver them the laundry.
• Assist in delivering guest requests as needed such as iron and board, amenities, etc...
• Deliver, pick up and prepare roll away and cribs to the rooms and return them to the designated storage area.
• Assist in maintaining housekeeping pantries and offices.
• Pick up of guest supplies from the general store and placing them in the housekeeping store.
• Pick up water bottles from the plant room and distributing them on the floor.
• Ensure the runners buggy is in good working condition and clean at all times.
• Report to Laundry Manager any misuse of linens.
• Report to the floor supervisor and misuse of items and maintenance of equipment’s.
• Carry out any special duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Secondary education

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar capacity in the hospitality industry.

• Good communication skills and good customer service
• Creative and possess eye for detail
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Must be physically fit in order to lift, pull and push items.
