• This position is responsible for maintaining high standards of food preparation and service in the appointed kitchen(s)
• To ensure that all stocks are kept under optimum conditions and rotation is managed according to company standards
• To ensure that all dishes are being prepared to the correct recipe and to the correct quantity.
• To ensure that all dishes reach the hot plate or passed correctly garnished, the correct portion and size, presented on the prescribed serving dish in the prescribed manner.
• To ensure that any anticipated shortages are communicated promptly to the Demi Chefs, Chef de Parties and Sous Chefs.
• Is aware of and adheres to all Pullman Maldives Maamutaa procedures for security measures, fire, health and safety.
• Apply necessary precautions with regards to the resort food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)

• Diploma or equivalent qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience  in a luxury hotel or resort  
• Additional certification(s) in Culinary will be an advantage
• Oral proficiency in English language
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Past experience of working in the Maldives will be an advantage
