The Assistant Purchasing Manager supports the Purchasing Manager in developing and implementing procurement strategies, conducting market research, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships. The Assistant Purchasing Manager collaborates with various departments to forecast and meet inventory needs and enforce compliance with procurement policies and ethical standards. By leveraging their expertise in procurement and supply chain management, this position plays a crucial role in optimizing inventory management, controlling costs, and contributing to the overall success of the hotel in delivering exceptional experiences to its guests.

1. Education: A bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. A relevant diploma or certification in purchasing or procurement can also be beneficial.

1. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management is required. This should include experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a hotel.

1. Knowledge: A strong understanding of procurement principles, supply chain management, and purchasing processes. Familiarity with international procurement practices, import/export regulations, and ethical sourcing is advantageous. Knowledge of inventory management systems and procurement software is also desirable.

1. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills are essential to handle multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines. Attention to detail is necessary to ensure accuracy in procurement processes and documentation.
