Job Description

The role will include the following responsibilities (but not limited to): 

  • Negotiation of corporate contracts and experience with MICE;
  • Relationship building with key clients and developing new clients;
  • Implement quality initiatives which add value to the business and maintain a position of leadership within the team; 
  • Ensure the greatest possible exposure of the hotel and its facilities to all potential and existing markets; 
  • Increase business from existing channels while creating new business development opportunities; 
  • Aid in the preparation of proposals and tenders to support the needs of the business;
  • Implement quality initiatives which add value to the business and maintain a position of leadership within the team and
  • Understand sales strategy and implement account tactics to achieve these strategies.

Qualifications

The qualifications and attributes that are desired (but not limited to) are: 

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills;
  • Ability to nurture existing relationships and attain new ones;
  • Working knowledge of the key intermediaries in the Conference & Events sector: 
  • Strong stakeholder management, both internally and externally; 
  • Exceptional understanding of consumer behavior and market trends and
  • A hunter who thrives on building new connections with clients and uncovering new business opportunities.
