    Job Description

    Join Sofitel Sydney Wentworth's award-winning Sales & Marketing team. As our Sales Executive (MICE), you will: 

    • Quote and contract corporate and MICE groups & events ensuring seamless service from the initial enquiry to the handover to the Event Management team.
    • Conduct site inspections, attend trade shows and networking events to enhance the Hotel's profile and industry presence.
    • Identify new opportunities and leverage existing relationships with corporate clients, agents, PCOs and 3rd party RFP channels to drive new leads for each sector.
    • Promote and sell all Hotel services, with particular focus on up-selling and add on sales to heighten the client experience and add revenue for the business.
    • Complete internal reporting, follow up and administration.
    • Grow your skillset within an experienced, supportive and high-achieving team. 

    Qualifications

    We Are Looking For...

    • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a drive to close the deal. 
    • Previous experience in Events, Reservations or Business development. 
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to ‘think on your feet’.
    • Creativity to come up with new ideas and drive innovation. 
    • Experience with Delphi and Opera (highly advantageous, but we are also willing to teach if you have the right attitude).
    • Flexibility to work varied days/hours to suit client requirements when required.
