Job Description

 

  • Adhere to and implement procurement policies and procedures
  • Monitor consumption patterns and manage slow-moving and non-moving items proactively
  • Verify incoming goods, issue supplies on authorized requests, and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Perform regular inventory checks for quantity, quality, and expiration dates
  • Assist in carrying out periodic inventories of operating equipment
  • Support cost control objectives and maintain audit trails
  • Update management on supply issues and obtain specialist opinions when necessary
  • Ensure proper documentation for all received and outgoing goods
  • Maintain records for municipality and local authority requirements
  • Manage the secure storage and timely distribution of received products
  • Create credit notes and document returned hotel properties as needed
  • Update accounts payable with supporting documentation daily

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role in a premium hotel required
  • Purchasing experience is a MUST
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications and or relevant computer applications required
  • University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
  • Excellent administrative, interpersonal, written and verbal skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
