Kitchen Daily Worker

Job Description

The Kitchen Daily Worker support the culinary operations by assisting in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. As a Kitchen Daily Worker, the individual plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the kitchen. They work under the guidance of senior chefs and are responsible for executing basic cooking techniques, preparing ingredients, and assisting in the creation of dishes. The position provides an opportunity for aspiring chefs to gain hands-on experience, develop their culinary skills, and learn from experienced professionals.


  1. Education: A high school diploma or equivalent. Completing a culinary program or obtaining a certificate in culinary arts can be advantageous. 
  2. Culinary Knowledge: Basic knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment is essential.
  3. Experience: Previous experience in a professional kitchen.
  4. Skills: Strong knife skills, proficiency in basic cooking techniques, and the ability to follow recipes accurately are important. Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are also desirable skills. 
  5. Hygiene and Safety: A solid understanding of food safety and hygiene practices is crucial. Knowledge of proper food handling, sanitation procedures, and cleanliness standards is essential to maintain a safe working environment and prevent foodborne illnesses. 
  6. Physical Stamina: The role of a Kitchen Daily Worker requires physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects.
  7. Teamwork and Communication: Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team are important. The Kitchen Daily Worker must be able to take directions from senior chefs, interact professionally with colleagues, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
