Job Description

As a Credit & Collection Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to manage the collection process and ensure the timely collection of outstanding debts. You will be responsible for analyzing customer accounts, identifying overdue payments, and implementing appropriate collection strategies. Your main goals will include minimizing bad debt exposure and maximizing cash flow while maintaining positive customer relationships.

Your main responsibilities:

  • You monitor and analyze customer accounts to identify overdue payments and determine appropriate collection actions
  • You are responsible for maintaining accurate and up to date records of customer interactions, payment agreements, and collection activities
  • You will engage with customers to discuss outstanding debts and negotiate mutually beneficial payment arrangements.
  • You evaluate credit risks and make recommendations for credit limits and collection terms
  • You will implement collection strategies and processes to improve cash flow and minimize bad debt exposure
  • As part of your role you will create reports on collection activities, overdue rates, and trends for management review
  • In this context you will make recommendations for process improvements and contribute to the development of collection policies and procedures.
  • You will investigate and resolve discrepancies or disputes related to billing and payment issues
  • You will work closely with colleagues, to address customer inquiries and resolve payment issues


Your qualifications include:

  • Min 2 years relevant experience in Finance & Accounting, with focus on collections, accounts receivable or a similar role
  • You possess knowledge of collection techniques, credit policies, and relevant laws and regulations
  • You have strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are among your strengths
  • You are hands-on, a proactive thinker, self-driven 
  • Solution-oriented mind-set, you are effective and efficient in execution.
  • Ideally you have additional knowledge of hospitality processes and -systems
  • You are fluent and German and English
