Job Description

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.1.1Keeps the Quality & Sustainability Manager informed of all Health & Safety related matters.

1.1.2Liaises with Management personnel and all employees and assist with health and safety

1.1.3Liaises with local law enforcement and Fire & Safety officials

1.1.4Proper grooming at all times

1.1.5Attend training classes as per schedule

1.1.6Show fullest cooperation and respect within the team and other departments

1.1.7Is aware of the daily activities and has product knowledge of all the hotel facilities

1.1.8Carries out inspections of workplaces and takes appropriate action to ensure compliance.

1.1.9Responds to and investigates concerns and complaints from workers/employers and takes

appropriate action.

1.1.10Investigates accidents and injuries that occur in the workplace.

1.1.11Responsible for the establishment of, and monitors the performance of, workplace safety and

health committees.

1.1.12May participate in the delivery of related educational programs and disseminates information to the public.

1.1.13Ensures all staff is thoroughly familiar with the Resort’s emergency procedures and in a state of preparedness for any emergency which may occur.

1.1.14In case of high hazard area identified, close the facility area/work and report to HOD, GM and Security.

1.1.15Reviews Duty Manager/Night Manager book daily and takes corrective action when it is concerned.

1.1.16Be familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility

1.1.17Keeps updating the emergency manual, with appropriate procedures and forms with the consultation of Quality & Sustainability Manager.

1.1.18To train existing employees and new comers on a regular basis with live fire drills.

1.1.19Conducts and executes skills/technical training within his/her area of responsibility on regular basis.

General/ Miscellaneous:

1.1.20Ensures all staff is thoroughly familiar with the hotel’s emergency procedures and in a state of preparedness for any emergency which may occur.

1.1.21Is familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility.

1.1.22Other duties as assigned.

SPECIAL:

1.1.23Assist in Task Force Teams for new openings.

1.1.24Carry out any other reasonable task (which may not be stated here) as requested.

Qualifications

University Degree in related field. Minimum 2 years in a similar role with a five star hotel preferably in the UAE. Team management skills, computer skills andexcellent communication skills. NEBOSH IGC certified. Has a qualification of Abudhabi Health & Safety practitioners course ADVETI. Has a qualification of ISO 45001:2018 internal auditor. Can hold IOSH TECH membership. Has an upto date first aid training (08 hrs inclduing CPR)
