Mercure Perth is conveniently located in the heart of Perth city, with the major shopping, entertainment and nightlife areas all close by. The hotel features 239 well appointed rooms, along with a great restaurant, a cafe, bar, heated rooftop swimming pool, spa, sauna and gym. Business guests are well catered for at Mercure Perth with 6 modern meeting rooms available, accommodating up to 350 delegates.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Undertaking general repairs and maintenance including some preventative maintenance
• Servicing of plant and equipment as directed
• Painting
• General carpentry

Casual hours, Monday to Friday, providing additional support as required to the existing Maintenance team.

The successful applicant will:

• Have experience working in a similar role
• Have a clear understanding of workplace health and safety practices
• Be prepared to assist other operational areas of the hotel if required
• Have the ability to work unsupervised 
• Have the ability to work fast and efficiently, ensuring the job is completed to the correct standard
• Solid customer service skills including good communication
